Lindsay Varty is a Hong Kong author and former professional rugby player who writes about Cantonese culture in an attempt to generate a greater love and understanding of her home.
She is the author of several books including Hong Kong Slang and Welly the Wild Boar.
Her local best-seller, Sunset Survivors, features a collection of photographs and interviews with Hong Kong artisans who work in some of the city's oldest, most traditional trades.
