This publication is partnering with a Japanese travel company for their annual weeklong creator residency, hosted in Japan this year.
During this residency, you'll travel to a peninsula in Japan between Nov 8-14, 2026, to participate in a community project and produce one story or photo essay to be published on the publication's site.
The residency is open to writers and photographers aged 35 or younger from across the continent of Asia.
To qualify, you must:
Be from Asia and hold a valid passport
Be below age 35 this year
Be available to travel between Nov 8-14, 2026
Have the capacity to produce your story by the end of Dec 2026
Flights, accommodations, and meals will be fully covered.
