Today, we're speaking with Lale Arikoglu, the Director of Special Projects at Condé Nast Traveler and the host of its award-winning podcast, Women Who Travel.
Lale's ten-year career with Condé Nast Traveler has taken her from horseback riding in Patagonia and hiking in the Andes to sailing down the Amazon River, chasing the Iditarod in Alaska, and clubbing in Kosovo.
In her work, Lale investigates the ways travel intersects with style, food, music, nightlife, identity, and politics.
She has also assigned and edited a number of my stories for Condé Nast, and it's a special pleasure to bring this conversation to you.
If you’re interested in working with Condé Nast, don’t miss this episode:
Lale gives tips on how to pitch her, what she looks for in the pitch, and how the current moment informs the types of stories she’s looking to champion at the magazine.
