Opportunity type: a storytelling fellowship

This initiative from the National Geographic Society funds storytellers, researchers, educators, and conservationists whose projects aim to preserve Canadian and Indigenous land, wildlife, water, culture, and history.

The mandate is to ignite a passion to preserve across Canada, with funding going to projects where the impact is distinctly felt in Canada.

Prior awardees included storytellers, photographers, journalists, and more.

We don't promote organizations or brands that appear on the Boycott, Divest, Sanction list and, as such, are complicit in the genocide, apartheid, and illegal occupation of Palestine.

While National Geographic's parent company is Disney, which appears on the BDS campaign, National Geographic Society is an independent non-profit, not owned by Disney, thus passing the Boycat App screening.

Apply by the deadline of Wednesday, October 28th at 11:59 PM EST.
