Opportunity type: call for pitches

Runner's World is seeking new contributors to help them produce more short-form features, dispatches, hot takes, unconventional opinions, and unexpected tips.

The editing team is interested in original ideas rooted in experience—whether that’s a strong point of view, a surprising takeaway, or a story only you could tell.

In the past, their stories have made the case for why buying a rice cooker can make you a better runner, argued that one NYC Marathon is enough, questioned the near-mythic status of Boston, shown that walking during a race is nothing to be ashamed of, and discussed why racing a 5K feels mentally more challenging than a half-marathon.

Rates will vary depending on length and the reporting needs.

We don't promote organizations or brands that appear on the Boycott, Divest, Sanction list and, as such, are complicit in the genocide, apartheid, and illegal occupation of Palestine. This opportunity passes the Boycat App screening.
