Opportunity type: call for pitches

This magazine is seeking pitches for an upcoming print issue that focuses on how technology and innovation intersect with forests and grasslands in the U.S.

Specifically, they're seeking stories that use the pillars of solutions journalism to investigate how people are responding to a national issue.

The solution should be on the cusp of real-world or large-scale application: it’s shown success, is actively working through its limitations, and could very soon have a significant impact.

For example, these are stories about bioengineering, whether it’s a piece investigating the efficacy of a new kind of biochar that could remove forever chemicals from water or one assessing the current successes, challenges, and implications of blight-resistant American Chestnuts.

Pays $1,000 for 1,000 words (above average).

We don't promote organizations or brands that appear on the Boycott, Divest, Sanction list and, as such, are complicit in the genocide, apartheid, and illegal occupation of Palestine. This opportunity passes the Boycat App screening.

Pitch by the deadline of Wednesday, May 28.
