I'm finally back from a whirlwind seven-week, three-country press trip that took me from the steppes of Kazakhstan to the ancient Greek trails and the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru.
As is often the case with travel, this once-in-a-lifetime journey has changed me in irrevocable ways.
"I'm about to start shedding," I wrote to a friend today, and I feel it coming: a new season of personal and professional life is entering my life.
While I'm not yet ready to share the full details of this (r)evolution, here are three things I know for sure:
- I want to create more healing spaces for and with women (Our OG subscribers will remember the days of Genius Womxn. This will be different: less work around impostor syndrome, more conversations around the sacred.)
- I want to bring people to my beloved Kazakhstan (a trip for 2027 is in the works)
- I want to teach once again (shortly, I'll announce an opportunity to learn with me this summer)

Queer stories for everyone
Last week, we interviewed Lindsey Danis, the author of a new book, (Out) On the Road. Lindsey spoke about queer joy, the process of writing a book, and writing for LGBTQ+ audiences through a liberatory framework.

🌍 In The World
Meet me in Minneapolis this summer
This July, I'm attending SRCCON in Minneapolis.
This highly participatory and inclusive conference, produced by OpenNews, is for people who care deeply about journalism and their communities.
For two days (July 8-9), attendees come together to talk about the technical and cultural changes that can transform our work.
I'm planning to do a Going Places meet-up in the city while I'm there – stay tuned for details!
